The Seeker Before the Teacher

Hi love… I’m Guru Amorah.

​

And before I was ever a teacher, a coach, or the founder of Ascension Academy, I was simply a woman searching for answers.

​

I was trying to understand love.
Safety.
Intimacy.
My body.
My patterns.
My soul.

​

I wanted to know why love could feel so beautiful and so destabilizing at the same time. Why my body would say one thing while my mind tried to convince me of another. Why desire could feel powerful, confusing, sacred, messy, and healing all at once.

 

Everything I teach now was born from that search.

 

I didn’t come to this work because life handed me some perfectly polished spiritual path.

 

I came to it because I needed healing.
I needed truth.
I needed something deeper than surface-level advice and pretty affirmations.

 

My spirit wanted answers.

 

And once I started finding them, my entire life began to change.

 

The Moment Everything Shifted

A huge part of my awakening began when I stepped onto a yoga mat.

​

I found Kundalini Yoga during a season of my life when my old coping mechanisms just weren’t working anymore. I didn’t need another workout. I needed a way back to myself.

 

The breathwork, the kryas, the mantras, the discipline — they started opening places in me I didn’t even realize were closed.

And that practice made me face things.

 

My shadows.
My attachment patterns.
My fear of losing myself in love.
The ways I abandoned my own needs.
The parts of me still living in survival.

 

Kundalini Yoga gave me structure.
It gave me power.
It gave me a relationship with my own energy.

 

And over time, it brought me back to the truth of who I am.

 

As I grew, my practice grew with me.

 

I started integrating everything I was learning through spirituality, psychology, somatics, sensuality, nervous system healing, and conscious relationships. I began asking:

 

How do we take ancient spiritual wisdom and make it safe, grounded, and practical for the modern nervous system?

 

How do we awaken kundalini without bypassing the body?

 

How do we bring devotion into real love, real intimacy, real communication, real boundaries?

 

That is how Shakti Yoga™ was born.

 

Shakti Yoga is my signature method of embodied awakening, emotional alchemy, and conscious sexual energy cultivation, inspired by the teachings and methodologies of Guru Singh, while being deeply shaped by my own lived experience.

 

To me, Shakti Yoga is like Kundalini’s wild, liberated, sensual daughter.

She is spiritual.
She is embodied.
She is disciplined.
She is alive.

 

It honors the original teachings while also making space for the modern woman, the modern lover, and the modern soul-seeker who wants awakening that actually lives in the body.

 

The Path of Sexual-Spiritual Mastery

One of the biggest revelations of my life came through studying spirituality, energy, intimacy, and sexuality through teachers and bodies of work such as Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, Guru Singh, Master Co, and Somatica Institute.

 

And the revelation was this:

 

Sexuality and spirituality are not separate.

They are deeply connected.

They are both about energy.
Presence.
Creation.
Surrender.
Devotion.
Truth.

 

When sexual energy is shamed, it gets buried.

When it is used unconsciously, it can become performance, addiction, validation-seeking, or ego.

 

But when sexual energy is honored, cultivated, and consciously directed, it becomes one of the most powerful forces for healing, creativity, intimacy, and spiritual awakening.

 

That is a huge part of my work.

Sexual energy as a path to awakening.
Pleasure as a path to presence.
Intimacy as a path to transformation.
The body as a temple, not a problem to fix.

And I say this with my whole chest:

I don’t teach this as theory.

I teach it because I have lived it.

Through devotion.
Through discipline.
Through heartbreak.
Through study.
Through practice.
Through direct energetic experience.

 

Everything I teach has passed through my body first.

 

The World I’m Building

Most people build programs.

 

I am building a world I wish I had access to sooner.

 

A world where women feel safe in their bodies.

 

A world where sensuality is sacred, not shameful.

 

A world where love is conscious, not chaotic.

 

A world where relationships become places of healing, not places where we keep abandoning ourselves.

 

A world where men are invited into heart, integrity, presence, and conscious leadership.

 

A world where self-discovery is not treated like a phase, but honored as a sacred path.

 

That is what Ascension Academy is to me.

It is not just a business.

It is my devotion in physical form.

It is a space for rebirth, awakening, embodiment, intimacy, and soul-level transformation.

 

What I Teach — And Why

Inside my work, I teach the things I had to learn through years of study, heartbreak, healing, practice, and spiritual refinement.

Even if your nervous system has only known chaos and called it chemistry.

 

There is another way.

The Alchemy of Shakti Yoga™

Shakti Yoga is the backbone of so much of what I teach.

 

It is a grounded, modern, body-based approach to working with Kundalini and life-force energy in a way that supports the nervous system instead of overwhelming it.

Through Shakti Yoga, we work with breath, movement, sound, mantra, meditation, sensual awareness, emotional alchemy, and energetic discipline.

People sometimes ask why they should trust my work.

And my honest answer is this:

 

I don’t teach from perfection.

I teach from devotion.

I don’t teach because I have never struggled.

I teach because I have walked through struggle with a lantern in my hand and learned how to turn pain into wisdom.

I don’t teach to impress anyone.

I teach because I believe intimacy, embodiment, self-respect, and spiritual truth can change the entire direction of someone’s life.

I am a teacher because I am first, and always, a student.

 

A student of the body.
A student of love.
A student of energy.
A student of God.
A student of what it means to become more honest, more whole, and more deeply alive.
